Is there anything I can do to prevent these types of attacks from slowing my router?

Or are these not what they seem? I read on another post that the net gear log tends to have false positives? But I do find my connection hanging up from time to time. How would I go about trying to confirm which this is? I don't think there is longer than a 3 minute gap for as long as the log has been turned on.
